Brand manual · v1 · November 2026

How Launchi looks, moves and talks.

One page for everyone who makes something with the name on it: the app, this site, the film, a slide. The values here are the same tokens both apps build from.

Logo files and tokens

01

Brand idea

Launchi helps people who build with AI actually launch, by making sure they never do it alone.

Don’t launch alone.

The brand idea in three words. Most ideas don’t fail; they go quiet, because nobody else was waiting for them. Launchi is the someone.

Positioning

For people building products with AI tools who haven’t launched yet, Launchi is a twelve-week launch mentor: an idea becomes a plan with the riskiest step first, every step closes with proof, and a pod of builders with a coach who has launched expects a ship-in every week.
  • Riskiest step first

Start where you’re most likely to be wrong, while being wrong is still cheap.

  • Proof, not promises

A step closes with something to show: a note, a link, a commit.

  • Never alone

A pod that ships every week and a coach who has launched.

What we are, and aren’t

Do
A launch mentor

Not a builder. Bring any tool.

Do
A peer who has shipped

Not a guru, not a course.

Do
Proof and people

Not hype, not a leaderboard.

02

Name and wordmark

Say it like launch, then ee: LAUNCH-ee

Do
Launchi

One word, capital L, the rest lowercase.

Don’t
LAUNCHI · Launch-i · LaunchI · launchi

No caps, spaces, hyphens or camel case.

Do
Ship in with Launchi this week.

In running text, the name is just a word in the text face.

Don’t
Ship in with Launchi this week.

Don’t drop the logo into a sentence.

The wordmark is Bricolage Grotesque Bold at −0.04em, outlined, so it looks the same everywhere. The domain is launchi.app; write it in lowercase.

04

Color

Warm paper and ink carry the page. A few saturated launch colors carry the feeling, and volt carries progress.

Rules

Do
Use the cast as drawn, at the sizes the layout gives them.

Full figures at hero sizes; a circle crop with a white ring at avatar sizes.

Don’t
Don’t add characters from an AI image tool, or redraw these in another style.

New people dilute the cast. Generated ones look like everyone else’s.

Do
Keep each character’s hair, skin and clothing colors.

The look is the person.

Don’t
Don’t put a quote from a real person under a cast member.

Real users deserve their own words; illustrations are never testimonials.

08

Motion

Quick out, soft landing. Things rise in once, buttons press, and confetti waits for a real win.

Principles

Motion shows progress and people. It never decorates an empty moment, and it never makes anyone wait.

Out, soft landing

cubic-bezier(0.22, 1, 0.36, 1)

Framer Motion and CSS use this curve. The film’s GSAP timeline uses its cousins: power2.out and power3.out to arrive, back.out for pops, sine.inOut for breathing.
Durations
NameTime
PressA button going down 2 px100 ms
QuickHover, color, a chip appearing200 ms

Try it

Press

Buttons sit on a 3 px edge and go down when pressed.

Rise

14 px up and in, once, the first time it’s seen.

Celebrate

Confetti is earned. This button stands in for approving a plan.

Celebration rules

Do
Celebrate real wins, once, right where they happened.

A win is something that happened: a plan approved, a ship-in shared, a first user, launch night.

Don’t
No confetti on page load, sign-up, or ordinary buttons.

If it fires for clicks, it means nothing when it fires for a launch.

Do
Pair every celebration with the specific thing: “Closed by a41c9e2.”

The proof is the reward; the motion just points at it.

Don’t
Don’t animate losses: no shaking, no sad faces for a missed week.

Missing a week is information, not a failure.

Reduced motion

When someone asks their system for less motion, Launchi listens everywhere, not just in CSS.

  • The aura holds still.
  • Content appears in place instead of rising.
  • The film opens on its end card, with the full story in text for screen readers.
  • Typing and counting show the final value at once.
  • Confetti and the marquee are off.
  • Smooth scrolling turns into a jump.

09

Sound

A synthesized score: doubts sound low and uneasy, the pod sounds warm.

The palette

The film’s score is written in code with Web Audio: oscillators, filtered noise and envelopes, through one gentle compressor. No audio files. The doubts get a low, uneasy drone; the pod gets warm chords in D major.

Off until you press something. Turn your volume down first.

Rules

  • Never autoplay.

Sound starts only when someone asks for it, and a mute is always one tap away.

  • Every sound has a picture.

Nothing is said only in audio; the film works on mute.

  • Short and soft.

Cues are under a second, except the doubts’ drone, the chords and the crowd on launch night.

  • One key.

Chords and plucks stay in D major so the film’s cues feel like one piece.

10

Voice and tone

A plain peer who has shipped. No hype, no em dashes, no emoji, nothing we can’t back up.

Principles

  • 01

    A peer who has shipped

Talk like the person in the pod who launched last year: plain, warm, a little dry. Not a guru, not a cheerleader.

  • 02

    Say the next step

Every message should leave the reader knowing what to do now. One step, in their words.

  • 03

    Proof over adjectives

Name what happened: the commit, the five calls, the first dollar. Don’t praise it with words like amazing.

  • 04

    Honest about effort

Launching is uncomfortable. Say so. Never promise it’s easy, fast or guaranteed.

Do and don’t

  • Do
Talk to 5 people who have the problem.

A step is something you can do tonight.

    Don’t
    Unlock powerful customer insights!
  • Do
You missed week 3. Ship in this week and a new streak starts.

Missed is information. Give one way back.

    Don’t
Oh no!! You broke your streak!
  • Do
    Closed by commit a41c9e2.

    The proof is the praise.

    Don’t
    Amazing work, superstar!
  • Do
Twelve weeks. A pod. A coach who has launched.

Say what it is. Leave out the buzzwords.

    Don’t
The AI-powered platform revolutionizing how founders launch.
  • Do
    Who is it for?

Ask the way a friend would.

    Don’t
    Define your ideal customer persona.
  • Do
Your plan starts with the step most likely to prove you wrong.

Explain the idea, not the machinery.

    Don’t
Our proprietary algorithm optimizes your roadmap.

Tone by moment

The voice stays the same; the tone moves with what the builder is going through.

  • StartingWarm, short, no jargon.“Three questions. One sentence each is plenty.”
  • StuckDirect. One step, made smaller.“Skip the deck. Send the link to two people tonight.”
  • A winBrief and specific.“First payment. $29 from someone you’ve never met.”
  • Missed a weekNo guilt. A way back.“Week 7 was quiet. What’s the smallest thing you can ship by Friday?”

House style

  • Sentence case. For headlines, buttons and labels.
  • No em dashes. Use a comma, a colon or a new sentence.
  • No emoji. In product copy, marketing and the film.
  • Contractions. Don’t, you’re, it’s. People talk that way.
  • Numerals for counts. 5 people, step 6, week 3. Words in taglines: Twelve weeks.
  • No invented numbers. No statistics or testimonials we can’t point to.
  • Builders, not users. People in a pod are builders; the coach is a coach. Ship-in has a hyphen.
  • Name the tools plainly. Claude, Lovable, GitHub. No “AI magic”.

Components

The app’s building blocks, drawn here from the same code.

Buttons

Chunky and pressable: each sits on a 3 px edge of its own darker color and drops 2 px when pressed. One volt button per view, for the step that moves you forward.

Cards

.box

Solid card

White at 90%, a white edge, a soft long shadow. The default container.
