A 12-week launch mentor for people building with AI

Don’t launchalone.

You already have the idea and the AI tools to build it. Launchi gives you the rest: a plan with the riskiest step first, proof on every step, a ship-in every week, and a pod of builders with a coach who has launched.

Three questions to start. No account until you want to save.

The film

Most ideas don’t fail. They go quiet.

Sixty seconds with Maya, her doubts, and the pod that answers them. Sound is off until you turn it on.

  1. Folders named side-project, app-idea-2, startup_REAL and final_FINAL_v3 get thrown in the trash one by one. Every great idea starts in a folder. Most end up here.
  2. This is Maya, at her desk late at night. She has an idea: portfolio critiques for junior designers.
  3. Doubts close in around her. Who would pay for this? You’re not a real developer. Someone already built it. It’s not ready yet. What if they laugh? She closes her laptop and the lamp goes out. Most ideas don’t fail. They go quiet.
  4. In the dark, her phone buzzes. Alex, your coach: You there? Your pod starts tonight.
  5. On a video call with her pod, each doubt comes back and someone answers it. Priya: I would. Take my $9. Sam: Neither am I. I shipped last week. Jordan: Not for junior designers. Alex: Show five people tonight. That’s the step. Doubts get quieter when someone answers back.
  6. Twelve weeks in fast cuts. Week 2, five interviews done. Week 5, everyone’s ship-in is stamped shipped. Week 7, Maya stalls and the pod checks in. Week 10, 40 people on the waitlist.
  7. Launch night. The pod counts down and Maya presses Launch. A new signup from someone she has never met, then a payment of $29. First user. First dollar.
  8. Maya alone, laptop closed, next to Maya laughing with her pod. Don’t launch alone. Twelve weeks. A pod. A coach who has launched.

Alone versus together

Alone, the doubts get the last word.

Every builder hears the same four. The difference is whether anyone answers back.

Maya

11:48 pm, on her own

  • Who would pay for this?

  • You’re not a real developer.

  • Someone already built it.

  • It’s not ready yet.

She closes the laptop. The idea goes quiet.

Launching alone

  • A folder called final_FINAL_v3
  • The scary step saved for last
  • Nobody asks how it went
  • Done means you stopped

Launching with a pod

  • A plan with the riskiest step first
  • A ship-in every week, read by people
  • Proof on every step you close
  • A coach who has launched before

How the 12 weeks work

From an idea to a launch, one proven step at a time.

  1. 01

    Three questions

What’s your idea, who is it for, and what does done look like? One sentence each. That’s enough to draft a plan, and you don’t need an account to answer.

    1What’s your idea?

    2Who is it for?

    3What does done look like?

  2. 02

A plan with the riskiest step first

Most plans start with the fun part. Yours starts with the step most likely to prove you wrong, while it’s still cheap to be wrong. You approve every step before week one.

    Critique Club, the plan

    Draft
    1. Build a first version in Lovable

    2. Landing page with a waitlist

    3. Talk to 5 people who have it

    4. Ask for your first dollar

    1. Learn
    2. Build
    3. Users
    4. Revenue
  3. 03

    Close each step with proof

A step is done when there’s something to show: a note, a link, or a git commit. A commit verifies itself, a coach can confirm a link, and a note on its own counts half.

    Proof, strongest last

    • Notes from 5 calls with junior designers
      Self-reported
    • critique.club landing page
      Coach confirmed
    • a41c9e2 Waitlist page live
      Verified

Verified and confirmed proof count in full. A note on its own counts half.

  4. 04

    Ship in every week

Once a week you post what shipped, what you learned and what’s next. Your pod reads it. Miss a week and it shows; ship the next one and the streak starts again.

    Maya’s ship-in, week 4

    Shipped
Waitlist page live, 12 emails in.
    Learned
Designers want a critique before an interview, not after.
    Next
Run one critique by hand for 3 people.
    4 weeks in a row
    Shipped
  5. 05

    A pod and a coach

Five to eight builders who start the same week, and a coach who has launched something. The coach reviews ship-ins, confirms proof and tells you the next step when you stall.

    Pod 01, week 4

    5 builders, 1 coach
    • Maya
    • AlexCoach
    • Sam
    • Priya
    • Jordan
    • Mei

    Alex reviewed Maya’s ship-in

Twelve emails from a page nobody has seen yet is a real signal. Run the critiques by hand before you build the upload flow.

Any AI, any builder

Keep your tools. Add the people.

Launchi doesn’t build your product, and it doesn’t care what you build it with. Draft the plan with Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, with your own key or none. Build in Lovable, v0, Bolt, Cursor or Claude Code.

Connect GitHub when you reach a build step. A commit whose message says step 6 closes step 6, with the commit as proof.

Who it’s for

The first pods are UX designers.

We’re starting small, with people we know and the people they know. If you design for a living and have an idea you keep not launching, this first cohort is for you.

Not a designer? The plan, the proof and the ship-ins work the same for anyone. Start with your idea; pods for other builders come after this one.

Start with your idea
  • You can design the thing

Flows, screens, a prototype that people click through. That part was never the problem.

  • You’ve built it once with AI

A weekend in Lovable or v0 got you a working link. Then the weekend ended.

  • You haven’t launched yet

Talking to strangers, putting a price on it, saying it out loud. That’s the twelve weeks.

  • Maya is from the film. She’s a designer with an idea for portfolio critiques. She isn’t a customer; she’s who we built this for.

Plain answers

Questions builders ask first.

Does Launchi build my product?

No. You build with whatever you like. Launchi keeps the plan, the proof and the people around it, so the thing you built gets launched.

What is a pod?

Five to eight builders who start the same week, post a ship-in to each other every week for twelve weeks, and share one coach.

What does the coach do?

The coach has launched something before. They read every ship-in, confirm proof, answer when you’re stuck and point at the next step.

Do I need to code?

No. The first steps are conversations and sketches. GitHub only shows up when your plan reaches a build step, and a note or a link closes a step just as well.

What if I miss a week?

It shows as missed. Your pod notices and asks how it’s going. Ship in the next week and a new streak starts.

Don’t launch alone.

Twelve weeks. A pod. A coach who has launched.
